The city of Rhodes is located at the far northern end of the island, including the site of the ancient and modern commercial harbor. The harbor is close to the old city and can be reached by foot.

The main air gateway (Diagoras International Airport) is located 14 km to the southwest of the city in Paradisi and it is about 20 minutes far away from the old city.

The road network radiates from the city along the east and west coasts. Sofia’s pension is located in the old town of Rodos,at Aristofanous St. In a calm neighborhood,one breath from the most famous street of Old town, the Socrates Street.

From there, all the archaeological monuments can de reached by foot.
